Good Evening,
This short week back was a wintry, wonderful treat. These past two days we have been reading and analyzing New Year's poems and poems about the process of growing up. The one question we did not have time to consider in class is whether growing up is a process with a beginning and an end or one that cycles and revolves around us our entire lives?
Next week, students will continue to read and analyze poems as well as begin drafting their own masterpieces. For periods C, D & F the Independent Reading Project is due on Wednesday the 9th and for period E it is due on Friday the 11th.
The term gallops to a close quickly in just three weeks. Please make an appointment to see me if you are unhappy with your grade. YOU are in charge of your achievement; do not let 2nd quarter run away from you. It is harder to succeed if you are trying to recover from a fall rather than maintain balance.
