Good Morning,
We will be continuing our poetry unit this week. We will discuss the importance of listening to poetry as well the matching skill of paying attention to HOW you say something. The inflection we use when we speak influences how are words are received by the listener. When reading a poem, inflection is the tone that the reader hears as h/she reads it. Poetry is meant to be heard! Students will also begin to brainstorm and draft individual, creative poems.
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Independent Reading Projects due Wednesday; Period E due Friday. All paperwork will be collected and checked on Wednesday. Presentations will begin on Wednesday in class and continue until everyone had the opportunity to share his/her book.
