Good Afternoon,
Happy October to you all. Today most classes (C, E & F) discussed the interconnected themes of Dreams and Friendship weaving their way through Of Mice and Men. We created an excellent list of characteristics that define true and real friendship. Then, students partnered and located textual evidence to support their opinions regarding the friendship type of their chosen character group. Several students still owe me IDIOM books (that is spelled I-D-I-O-M) books from Friday's class. Wednesday is the last day to submit them to me.
In period D, today was by far less exciting and humor-filled than Friday's wonderful rendition of The Spider and the Fly. As you bustle from one activity to the next this week, please make a mental note and begin formulating the main idea for your parable papers. You will begin outlining in class Thursday.
By the way, since today is the 1st, I only have 26 days to finish my half marathon training. Please do ASK me about whether or not I have made time to run.
