Enjoy your last few days of summer fun!

Dear Parents and Students,

It was a pleasure meeting those of you who attended the barbeque last night.  I hope touring the school and meeting us eased any anxieties that might have been present for some.  I mentioned to several students last night that the butterflies go away quickly.  I meant what I said - within a week or so you will be walking the halls of Plymouth South feeling confident and calm.

Just a quick reminder to complete your summer reading.  The projects will be presented with the first two weeks of school.  Everyone presents on the same day, and as soon as I know the date I will let you know.  The Honors class will write an in class essay on their second choice book on Wednesday, September 11th (as long as there isn't an assembly that day ;)  )

I look forward to seeing you again or meeting you for the first time on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Take care,

Mrs. Weston

P.S. FYI on August 27th at 12:30 it will look like two moons in the sky.  One "moon" is actually Mars.  This will not happen again until 2287.  No one alive today has ever witnessed this happening.  Extra credit to anyone who brings me a picture of this striking once in a lifetime phenomenon.
