Beginning:

Even though this is a creative writing assignment, remember to include

paragraph. Ask yourself the question “why”
this story is important enough for your memoir as you reread it.
Middle:
The meat of your story. What
happened? Include details that paint a
picture; remember to show not tell. If
possible, add dialogue. Keep your reader
interested in your tale.
End:
What did you learn from the event? This
is an opportunity for reflection.
Consider if you learned a life lesson from the event. Leave your reader with a sense of completion;
do not cause your reader to feel empty and alone. Is it possible to end with an aphorism, a
saying about how to live your life, of your own creation?
